Cynthia is currently working on her manuscript, 愛,媽媽 (Love, Mum): A Daughter’s Journey Home, a sequel to her debut play:

"To celebrate me, my lineage, of me coming out as a writer [...] so we chose Crest Hill / Tai Shek Mo 大石磨. It was a place which overlooked Shenzhen, mainland China on one side, and Hong Kong on the other. At the peak, there was also an abandoned white painted observation post previously used by the British military. I liked the symbolism of it all: a mish-mash of Hong Kong, mainland China and British colonial rule all rolled into one. That’s my history, my family’s history".
