Love Mum Creatives was founded in 2022 by Cynthia Hiu Ying LAM, when she was producing her debut one-woman autobiographical show 愛，媽媽 (Love, Mum), a matrilineal memoir about three generations of Chinese women. Cynthia wanted to set up a creative arts company dedicated to showcasing her creative outputs and platforming women’s life stories.

Love Mum Creatives encapsulates Cynthia’s turning point in her life when she decided to quit her corporate job in Hong Kong and venture to New Zealand to pursue her passion of becoming a writer. This company is the coming together of her newfound and previous skillsets, the merging of her creative and business energies.

Cynthia’s work seeks to explore the question: How does a woman live an authentic life in a patriarchal, colonial and capitalist society?
